“You will continue to be a He” — Kanayo O. Kanayo prays for son as he prepares to move to America
Kanayo O. Kanayo, a veteran Nollywood actor, has elicited conflicting reactions following his emotional prayers for his son, who is due to transfer to America.
It’s worth noting that the actor’s son was accepted to a university in the United States of America, and as he prepares to leave the nation, Kanayo expressed his pride and prayed for him.
Kanayo can be seen praying for his son’s well-being in a video posted on his Instagram page. He particularly urged that his son maintain his identity and orientation as a ‘He’ in the face of cultural pressures.
Kanayo also included other crucial components in his prayer, such as focusing on academic achievements rather than tattoos, and encouraging him to uphold the principles instilled in him during his upbringing.
In his words;
“America will be proud of you. Your achievements will cause America to celebrate you. You will imbibe the good of the land and eat the good therefore. You will continue to be a HE from Ezinihitte Mbaise in Nigeria. Your focus shall be on your books and job NOT ON TATTOOS. May you never depart from your upbringing. Do not forget God. You shall ever remain on God’s Radar and GPS. Good luck boy”.
