At the Akume Atongo stadium in Katsina-Ala, during the funeral oration of Ter Katsina-Ala, Chief Benjamin Fezanga Wombo, Gov. Alia delivered the directive.

He expressed his frustration with the ongoing wave of bandit murders and kidnappings in the region, stating that the situation had become intolerable.

To guarantee that the region experienced long-lasting peace, Governor Alia also urged the political group known as the Sons of Sankera to call a conference.

Governor Alia stressed that the resolution of the meeting should be given to him for prompt execution. The meeting should include senators who are currently sitting or have previously served, members of the House of Representatives, and other notable sons of Sankera.

Governor Alia emphasized the importance of involving the young in the area to be valuable members of society and to abstain from criminal activity.

Gov. Alia also urged traditional leaders in the Sankera axis of the state to promote peace, saying that his administration was committed to ensuring peace for the district as well as the entire state.

He expressed his sympathy to Chief Wombo’s family for their father’s passing and advised them to take comfort in the knowledge that he led a happy life.

In the past, Sen. George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has advocated for shared accountability in order to advance the state.
