Mistikay began his musical career while studying at the Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti in the state of Ekiti in 2009.

During his college years, the afro-pop sensation was renowned as one of the biggest names in entertainment on and around campus.
The singer and songwriter, on the other hand, took a musical hiatus in 2016 owing to financial troubles, and it took seven long years for the afro-pop phenomenon to return with a brand new afro dance hall, NA WA O.
